An incredibly soft and luxurious blend of Cashmere and Merino Wool knit and 'boiled' in Wörgl Austria by Stapf. Stapf is a highly specialized company that only makes outerwear from boiled wool knit fabrics, (that they produce themselves), which is called, "walk" in German (pronounced: valk). The benefit of 'walk' as opposed to woven Loden fabric is that it stretches for a more casual fit. Depending on how long the fabric is washed in warm water will result in different degrees of felting. The "Frederick" is made from a thick and warm fabric accented with unique natural antler buttons set in a brass casing. The buttons, leather trim and fabric make it a distinctly trachten (traditional) Austrian jacket with a contemporary cut.
